I'm having a problem with connection coming loose from the back of the pod gauge. causing the truck to shut down.
I have tried to tapping it to the back of the gauge for only a quick fix, I'm looking for a permanent fix. Any ideals ????
How about looking into a plastic tie clip, (can't remember the right name) but a small plastic tie clip, and put the DP connection and use the tie clip around all the wires to keep the connection tight and not hanging its own weight. Thats what I did with my DP switch.
Could you try to tape it to the back of the gauge to keep it secure?
That is what if have been doing and has came disconnected while driving.

I sure hope you understand what I am saying.
( I understand what you are saying ) I thought about zip ties, But i have nothing to secure it to on back of the pod gauge.
I'm a little gun shy now to drive on the highway at 70 mph, Knowing that the connection can disconnect again.

Hey Mark,
My gauge switcher is located on my steering wheel column. I have had zero issues. One thing to check is that the cable has some slack in it coming up through the column. Check it out. Try it and let me know what happens.

Diane, I have had no problems with my switch. There is ways to make sure the connection does not come off. I too would hate to be going down the Hi-way and have a shut down.

Hello Diane, I have the pod gauge in the Instrument cluster. I have checked the cable and it does have slack.
Should the cable connection click or lock into the pod gauge, Because mine doesn't.
Thank you for your reply to my question, and tring to help.
Liquid Electrical tape is my new friend. Plug the connector into the back of the gauge and put a dot on one or both sides of the conector. It will be stong enough to hold up and you'll still be able to take the connector off if needed. Just a thought.
