ALSO, i've been getting the WATER IN FUEL LIGHT recently.
If you have a bad batch of fuel it may cough and not start. Or maybe too much air in the system from the work you did on the fuel system. How many times did you fill and drain the fuel bowl>
Check your voltage while cranking.. should be at least 10.5v..
Check your HPOP oil level.. should be about 3/4" from the top.
Check all your large fuses.. Blown fuel heater maybe..
Check your oil level..
Take a sample of your fuel in a glass jar and check it after hour or so. If you have water, you should be able to see it..
ok my truck was running like crap and would suddenly lose power i could hear the loud injector cackle. it would sputter and eventually stall. i would take it back home blow some air towards the tank and it would run great for about a week. then the same thing would happen. it just eventually got worse and worse and i had to tow it home the last time because it would not start. now i did the intank fuel mod and now it won't start again. i'm getting strong cranking power but no smoke. new cps and new gpr and batteries are good.

You have the fuel pump in the tank now? That should cure most fuel pressure problems. Can you get a fuel pressure gauge in the port at the back of the fuel filter housing to see if you are getting enough pressure? If you are getting enough pressure, then I echo what others have said about checking your HPOP, IPR, fuel heater, etc. etc.
