No problem, you just remove your stock air box and at the end of your intake hose you put the piece of pipe then attach the 6637 to the pipe with a 4" hose clamp. PM F250_ that is Pete and he has the covers. You can choose from several designs.
I actually slid my stock intake hose right over the 6637 without the pipe or coupler. Take the hose clamp completely off the intake hose and it's a piece of cake to get it over the 6637. Just be careful putting it back on, get it on just enough to catch them put pressure on the intake hose to keep it on the 6637 and tighten the rest of the way. If you don't keep pressure on it, the hose likes to pop back off.

I think some people may have had their filter slip off though.

Edit: Robin beat me to it.
And the filter just sets there then and not in a stock air box ?? how does it keep from flopping around I guess is what im asking ?? do you zip tie it down ?? where do you get the pipe?? parts house or somewhere ?? I know where to get clamps......saw petes website from robin's post and will get one of those as soon as I get the filter.
Thanks Robin for the info and pics, will def be looking at those again
I had mine that way for almost a year. Never popped off, but did get loose and needed repeated tightening at the beginning. It is a MUCH better deal with the exhaust though. I also used the PVC as my CCV coupler, and I didn't like how it narrowed down so much. I know have a piece of 4" OD exhaust in both places. The other ways work, but the best solution is the exhaust pipe.

The filter just sits there. It's own weight and the intake tube holds it in place. Some have made there own filter surrouds. Search for "cold air intake". Here's a thread from today LINK. Check at exhaust shop or truck stop for 4" SS pipe. EDIT: A couple of 4" long pieces would work fine. If you remove the center piece you will need to do the CCV Mod.

Do you have to have a tuner on the truck before you put the 6637 on or can it wait?? just dont have the cash as of right now for the tuner ?? Thanks again Robin very good info

No tuner needed to install any kind of filter. Same goes for the exhaust.
