get everything out o f the way, i hoped to be able to keep the factory intake from the front of the truck because i like its set up.
basically i had a sheet of .050 aluminum that i made the box out of. i used rivets for now to see how i like it. if it goes ok then ill weld it up.
its a tight fit and the aftercooler pipe on this side is touching the intake hose. if this becomes a problem then ill fab a new intake to the turbo.
it gets air form the front factory inlet and now from the fender. so far its great. there is a louder whistle, me likey, and there is a difference in pedal response. i havent done anything with the sensor yet other than let it hang under the master cyl. its fine for now. its as air tight as it needs to be.
also while i was under the hood i installed the led for the glow plug solenoid (theres pics) and i had the chance to use it this past weekend when the outside temp was -22c, without windchill. dam cold... by waiting until the light in the cab went out and then starting, instead of guessing the truck started perfectly.
