Sounds like the switched power from the PCM relay is dead. I tried to study the wiring diagrams for this, but ran out of time before having to leave for work. The PCM relay provides the power for the coils to energize on the GPR, AIH, and fuel pump relays. If this is not present, they won't energize. Sounds like this is the problem. Look for power source to PCM relay, since you have already tried a different relay. It looks like you backfed the the wiring from the PCM relay when you jumpered the terminals on the AIH relay. I would look further into this area.
Check your fusable links. I'm not sure of the location, but I would hazard a guess at somewhere around one of the hood hinges.
If you need fusible link wire I have plenty to spare from when I cooked mine. They fried because the AIH was wired up wrong. It's listed in THIS THREAD.
OK this AM went out and parked my 01 next to the 99. Popped the hoods, and started comparing. With the key off, had power only on the booted terminals on both GPR and AIH. Both trucks the same. With the key on, the 01 had power on several terminals and the 99 had no power shy booted terminals.
So i went back to the fuse panel under the hood and Got out a test light and started probing around, found that the fuse in one slot only had power on one side. (the fuse for power ditrbution box) I pulled the fuse, and sure as *****, it was blown.
Now as I said in my first post, one of the fist things I did was pull out the fuses and looked at them. So only a few things can be true: A. I am a Dumb A** B. I missed a fuse as I went through them C. I blew the fuse at some point, when changing the CPU or AIH.
Anyway, Thanks to eveyone for their input. The truck is up and running. all is well
Thanks for posting back Jaybo. If the trailer wire caused the fuse to blow, you're set. I still say get rid of that AIH wiring. Your truck will likely never use it, but may have problems from it.
EDIT: BTW, I check my fuses via resistance. You can test them without power. Roland was right, no power to pcm.
Yes I agree Roland was right. The trailer wire was the reason all this happed. Just to put everones mind at ease..... found a new source to run the hot wire to the trailer.
