To me, with nothing else painted, it makes the tubes stand out waaaay too much, IMHO. I think they would look good if some other stuff was painted to match. In an otherwise plain engine bay, I like 'em cleaned & unpainted. To each his own......
I ended up using high heat engine enamel i found at the auto part store. Worked pretty good, 1 coat of primer and a couple coats of paint.
How long did you let it dry? Did you get any scratches when reinstalling the pipes? I've wanted to paint mine, but I don't want them to get scratched up and look like crap.

Jeff, I let them dry for about an hour in between coats just to make sure they were dry. In between each coat i hung them in the laundry room so it was nice and warm because the paint wasn't sticking in the garage. I got a few nicks on them installing them but mainly on the bottoms of the pipes. For the little scratches i got on the tops i put some rags around the pipes and sprayed them lightly, enough to cover them up.
What about if i did the letters and that line on the black powerstroke cover in the front of the motor red? How do y'all think that would look? What about changing some of the hoses to red?
