Help-NO POWER
97' F350 7.3PSD 5 Speed,TS chip, 3" down pipe, straight pipe 5'stack, DIY intake.
Problem started friday with conciderable loss of power over 2000 RPM, changed fuel filter, added Lucas cleaner, tried all settings of chip, no change.
Today on a short drive-got worse, bad miss,pedal to the floor would only run 40MPH and falling. Tried old trans fluid trick to try to force clean injectors if that could be the problem no better. Idled for few min. still no power, but not the bad miss.
Any help would be useful, Could it be IDM or Sticks

would that be a bad thing? is there anything else that would cause this, lift pump? HPOP? I am used-to working on E6 & E7 Mack engines all my tricks on tem has failed. Fuel press.@ idle in 68-71lbs, checked 20min. before the last small trip.

is the wire in the cover gaskets special or just pass thru where they can be ched with an ohm meter?

it's just a pass through point. You can pull all 4 plugs, (two on each cover) and look at the pins and connector. If any of them look burnt, or melted, you found your problem. But there is also 2 harness' under the valve cover that the connector and plugs can burn.

No i didn't think of that. I just did a quick drive and was not seeing the large plum of black smoke that i usually get when i nail the pedal. If that helps explain the problem

will check on those in the am at the closest dealer. That would be better than having to replace the injectors even though i have been looking for a reason to upgrade. Would it be safe to go up to a stage 2 stick? I was thinking of the DIY KIT, any opinions
