Tube sub?
Hi all, I was looking for sub(s) for the truck in my sig. I found that tube amps were cheaper, and I don't want to spend the money for a box, amps and subs. Would one like this work decently on my truck, I have the optional stereo with the 6 disk changer.

I think it looks really dumb, but if it works well, it wont matter because I plan on hiding it under the rear seat on my extended cab ( i think it fits)

It's 200 watts in a 8" sub. It will play down to 40dB, but probably not very well at 200 watts. Your not going to get the bump and thump like the kids with $10k stereos in $500 cars, but it should fill out the dynamic range of the stock system pretty nicely.
I think it's mostly junk though. $65 for an amp and speaker can't be a very good amp or speaker. It's going to produce much less than 200watts, and probably only hit 40dB if you turn the boost up. For as easy as building a box is, I would opt for a single or pair of 10" or 12" subs with a quality amp. Doing the job once is cheaper than twice.
