I'm finally to the point of being ready to order headers. After checking out whats available I'm left with one manufacturer, "Stan's Headers".
The DOVE C heads I'm using are ported to cobra jet specs and he'll weld the CJ flange on the tri-y pipes. The painful part is the $430.00US cost plus shipping and then having to get them coated. Has anyone had any dealings with this outfit?
I've tried Hooker & Hedman but they would not fit. L&L requires a lift for the fenderwell style and my oil pan is too big for the in frame. With my options being limited I want to make sure the cost is justified. Thanks.

If those hooker headers are made for your model why dont they fit ? There is many other options like said many times before some great sites to check are www.summit.com and www.jegs.com also you could as a last resort try JcWhitney.com
The Hooker Super Comps I had where meant to fit a '771/2 to '79, but the drivers side wanted to occupy the same space as the driveshaft. At the time I was using L&L motor mounts, a call to Hooker said I was supposed to use their mounts. I order the mounts only to find out you need to remove your stock perches and use the ford four piece motor mounts also. So after considerable expense and time the friggin things still wouldn't work, not just a little massage to clear, just plain wrong. Heddman fenderwell headers wanted part of my frame. This leaves L&L and Stans for long tube. Summit nor Jeg's deal with these. Summit felt they had a pair from Heddman that might work but when you see the expense and hassle of getting things across the border and back if wrong then you'll understand my reluctance. Anyway that's my tale of woe regarding headers, soon as I recover from my machine shop bill I'll order the Tri-y's from Stan's and drop a line on the install.
