I will try posting here. I can't get an answer in the other forum. I am trying to find Tri-Y headers for my 1979 F-250 4x4 stick with 400 motor. I have called the following companies and found out that they do not make the Tri-Y from my engine: Thorley, Hedman, Hooker, and Stan's. I can't find any out there. I made an assumption and ordered Thorley headers last week and did not find out until I opened the box that they are 4-into-1 for my size engine.
Anybody have any ideas???
The reason I am trying so hard to find these headers is because everything I have read says that Tri-Y headers add more torque to lower rpm high torque engines than the regular 4-into-1 headers.
I am not saying the 4-into-1 headers are not good. I just would really like to try the tri-y.
Slik, where did you get your Thorley Tri-Y's for your 351? I have an 85 F150 4X4 with the 351 HO and would like to buy Thorleys, buy can't seem to find a price anywhere. What did you pay for your set?
