LOL you guys are too funny...lol It has been fun having all of your input it made fixing my truck fun for once and not stressful Thank you!!!!!
Yes David85 you are right I am actually married...lol But it looks like I should have married a guy who knows how to work on trucks hu!!!!!
Luckily I come from a automotive back ground as my Mom was a single Mom there was no man to help me fix my 90 Civic or my 95 Ford so I got books and fixed then myself. I use to horrify her...lol
I thought for sure I would marry a mechanic, but married a farm man instead…hahaha but he great with my horses and at least with your guys help and my background we can fix it together!!!!
Thank you!!! It has been a blast!!!!
David85 I did copy that pic you posted in case down the road I needed it again thanks!
I can’t wait to insure the truck next week and go driving; I love my Ford over my new Nissan X-Trail it is just more fun to drive!
I like the X-Trail for snow days and the heated seats and moon roof…. But I love an old truck for daily driving just feels right!!!!!
My electric car? grab a chair cause it'll be a while. The battery is on some container ship on the pacific en route to the port of vancouver, and the motor hasn't been built yet. I'm supposed to get the price quote for the motor some time this weekend. Then I send the deposite so the builder can start the work.
I could have gone with a forklift motor and some deep cycle batteries (available immediately), but nooooo, I just had to be different. I was planning to have it driving this spring, but it could be 6 months before the motor and controller are finished.
If done right, the car will blow the doors off my truck though.....hope it works.
Peak torque starts at 0RPM and this one will have most of that all the way past 6000. Basically a flat torque curve, and linear Hp curve up to redline cutoff. I'm waiting for the info from the builder so I can finally OK the motor build and send the deposite.
The motor should be about 75lbs but can put out close to 200 Hp (car had 100 stock) Getting ahead of myself, still have to put it all together....
I looked at all sorts of used cars in that era and older, but this one ended up being the better deal. Worst part of a saturn is usually the engine, but thats not my problem.
