So i got my new Edelbrock 600 installed today. It went alot smoother than i had anticipated and took only an hour, and that included the trip to O'Rielly's for some fuel line. She runs great now, with a smooth idle right out of the box. Next up is a full tuneup and oil change to be completed this weekend. Then i need new shocks. Any suggestions? I dont do much hauling and im thinking id like to go with a smoother ride maybe. Speaking of suspensions, do you need shocks if you have air springs? Cuz id like air springs.
On i completely unrelated note, when can i post pix?
I used to run dual shocks (as soon as my pickup was out of warranty!;)
but switched to Rancho 5000's a few years ago and for the most part
they are better than the dual shocks. YMMV The dangged pickup would
dance sideways on me, going down dirt roads. :/
Don't know what your plans are but...
Don't overlook your ignition wires. ;)
If they "look good" check 'em with an ohm meter and they might still be
good and in that case use 'em but those dangged things are a weak link
in the system in my experience. I have one copper core wire it's from the
coil to the distributor cap.
I'd suggest the a twin tube like the Rancho 5000 (made by Monroe) or the KYB. Bisltein would be overkill for you. You can get KYB GR2's for $137.12 for a full set. Rancho goes for $231.70 a set. Both are a twin tube, a good Mono-tube would be the KYB Gas-A-Justs for $212.34. All of these you get a 5% off from us as well using the promo code "trailvoy"
Let me know if you have any questions I'm here to help.

Anytime, we are also expanding (to be announced any day now) that we will have a brakepad site as well and I can pass along discounts on them as well !!
Since you do Airlift, could you tell me what it would cost to hook it up with an air suspension for my ride? its a 69 F250 with a 390 and a 4-spd. what would be involved? whats the ballpark figure?
