Anybody know where to get the donuts for my up-pipes (see truck info in sig) or what Fords part number is for them? I called my local Ford dealer yesterday to get them and they acted like they had never heard of them before.
Also, it's best to coat them with anti-sieze before re-installation. Correct?
If yours is a late 99, do you just want to replace the donuts? The reason I ask is that there is no guarantee that replacment donuts won't leak on old pipes. Many people have gone through all the trouble of replacing the donuts, only to have them leak again within a few thousand miles. Others have had no trouble for many many miles after replacing them, so it's a gamble. Just know that donuts will always leak eventually.
International sells an up-pipe kit that fits the 99.5-03 7.3L. It's a bellowed kit, no donuts, so it doesn't leak. Of course it's more expensive than just replacing donuts, but it's a permenant fix.
If you want to just replace the donuts only, Carquest has donuts for a Chevy 350 that fit the stock up-pipes. They are a bit thicker than stock, so they usually don't leak as easily on older, worn out up-pipes. Someone else can chime in with the Carquest part number, I don't have that handy.
Yeah, I've thought about doing internationals up-pipe kit but I have spent way too much money on the truck lately. I am going to have everything apart this weekend, so I figured I would at least replace the donuts while I was in there. If anybody has that part number from Carquest that would be great.
I'm doing the same thing right now. Was going to wait to install the van turbo until I'd bought some bellowed up-pipes but the cash isn't there right now. I figured I'd just change out the donuts while the turbo's out and then save the money for the international up-pipes down the road.

I'd run with those Jason, but I'm planning on doing bellowed up-pipes in the future anyway. I'd do them soon when I've got the turbo already out, but can't afford them so I'm doing new donuts for the time being. I figure I'll spend $5 now at CQ and save the $85 to go towards the bellowed ones!
that CQ part# is for a small block chevy exhaust donuts..they do work and need to be loaded with anti sieze when you put them in so you can crank them down enough to squeeze them tight against the pipes...make sure they give you the cheap soft type donut...if it doesnt work for you..PM me your address...i have 2 brand new still i packadge donuts ill send out..i wont be needing them any more....
