I hate to do it, as I just asked questions about a 66 custom cab headliner yesterday.......the 2 top pieces for the headliner are 217.00 plus 125.00 to ship truck frieght....JOKE If there is someone out there who has one and would trace the 2 pieces so i can fab my own I'd gladly throw them a couple of bucks for their troubles
Been driving 65 for couple yrs now without the headliner, seemed kinda steep. Copied pattern from a spindled and mutilated headliner from a 66 in salvage yrd. The truck is my daily work horse so suspect eventually get around to buying the dang thing, figure with time and material, not sure I would be saving very much. If you run a search on the suject and narrow the field to the 61-66 forum you will find several links on the subject.
I have all four pieces. while they are not good enough to sell to anyone they are good enough to get a pattern made. I intend to make the patterns next week. The pattern will be simple enough I'm sure but I want to have several copies made for those in need. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Reason: mispelled word
Roddoors makes a plastic headliner that is meant to be upholstered, but it can be installed with just painting if you desire. Fits like a glove. It costs about the same as the cardboard POS but can be shipped rolled up so winds up being less. Roddoors customer service is a little sketchy from reports I've received but the product (which I've had in my hands) is good. I would not buy their upholstery as I think it's overpriced. Fabric in color of your choice can be obtained at any fabric store. It makes a more attractive and durable headliner, IMO, provided originality isn't a requirement.

Robert, if you manage to trace out patterns for it take a photo @ 90º (aka hang it on the wall) of each one of the tracings and or the panels for that matter and measure the panels for me.
I would gladly redraw these into a vector program and setup a pdf that can be printed (tiled on 8.5x11 paper) from any desktop printer and taped together for a set of templates that could be downloaded. I'll even host them on our FTP
Thanks for all info.....i will check out roddoors but will wait for drawings. I'd like to make my own maybe from fibergass so i can incorporate some speakers......
Just something to think about. A few years back (maybe 10 or more actually), my little brother pulled the headliner on his 65, then steamed some 1/4" oak veneer and fit it in. He also built an oak overhead console and outfited it with the stereo, CB, and an over head compartment that could hold a 12 pack of tall boys. It was down right beautiful but quite a dedicated project. I don't know if I would go with the overhead console but just the oak headliner would be cool.

Hey gangsta, if you ever get the patterns traced, I would LOVE to have a copy because I need to make a headliner for my truck too!
