Not true! That handle AND the pillar can completly hide people and light poles in parking lots. Gm's are even worse.

Come on guys! The 09 I have looked at has a MSRP of over $42K. Ford couldn't afford a $5 grab handle. I have had back surgery and I used the grab handle every time I got in or out of my 05. I never knew I was so different.

My parents are in the same boat....and the steering wheel doesn't work for them either.....like you said...a 2 dollar part is keeping them from buying a 40,000 dollar truck......they're ready able and willing

I have an 04 and love the truck.. love everything about it. However I can say that I really like the new style too.. I dont think that it has to be one or the other...

I like certain things on 09's but I have to admidt I like my 06 F150 KR styling better. The 09 fronts just a little to square and don't like those new tail lights, but if I didn't have my 06 I'd still buy the Ford. JMO.

I haven't gotten in one yet. I do know that I don't like the tail lights. They look gaudy. The grill I also don't like. I do know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So true. There a few of us here that still think the '80-'96 models are better looking than anything since '97.

I like the 04-08 truck better myself too. I just think it looks sooooo much nicer and cleaner then the 09. but that's my opinion. however the 1 thing i like much more about the 09 is the fact that ford went back to a true regular 2 door cab. that was 1 thing i hated about the previous design. and i do wish they'd do something about correcting the visibility issue with the a-pillar. I've never had that problem with any of my classic fords

I also like the fact that ford is putting some style back into thew design of the tailgates as well. I felt the 97-08 tailgates just looked too plain. and the same with the side of the truck as well. Eventhough I don't like the grille and headlights, the fron end is growing on me. I just like the front end of 04-08 better.

lack of a grab handle sucks big time. I have my current FX4 sitting 2" taller than OEM, and if I get tires, it will be roughly 5" taller overall

with my wieght of 275 lbs, there is no way I'm gonna pull on the steering wheel to climb in. That is what the grab handle is for

oh well, not enough to prevent a purchase though. I can see the point of y'all with medical problems though.

overall I'm in love with the 09's. The only parts I don't like are the taillights and the inst. cluster

Well......i wouldn't doubt that the bed would bolt right up...but i'm not great at body work...and since i don't like the front fenders....then they wouldn't match up......and since the engines not new....and the axles aren't new....and the suspension is mostly unchanged....theres really not enough to change to make it worth while....plus...i hate tranny work which is the only change i find worthwile...
