I converted mine using a HELP! kit from O'Reilly's a few weeks ago. I believe it was about 10 bucks. I changed mine to manual since half the automatic choke essentials were missing and it kept getting stuck shut, flooding it. I am a pretty big novice to automotive work, and it took me about 1 1/2 hours.

yeah my 87 300 straight 6 is Multi Port Fuel Injected. you could get a 302 EFI in 86 as an Option my Mother had one but in 87 both the 302 and 300 came Standard Equiped with Multi Port Fuel Injection

yeah but wasn't it that CFI not MPFI I'd have to look it up it may have also been optional to have mpfi on a 302 in 85 but I don't think so I will endeavor to find out though

Yeah just did a quick check obviously the fool at the dealership in the early 90s was an idiot that didn't know his ford History and I never looked it up to verify or discredit his info.the 85 year model could be bought with the 302Cid in MPFI Trim as an Option and by the time the 86 came out the 302 has MPFI as standard Equipement then like I said in 87 the 300Cid Straight 6 became MPFI and joined the 302EFI and the next year 1988 Ford Fuel injected the 351W and 460Cid
