carl,
thats a photo of my monitor. so the color looks a little off. i'm torn between this one and the other american flag design. the other one you can read from a good distance away, and this one looks real good when your up close.either way i'll go with the majority vote.

16,17,19 let's put up a few for a vote. Not too many as we don't want to confuse the commies. Again keeping in mind something that size -wise would be easy to mail. (Not have to buy special sized envelopes). Self-stick not like the NY registration non-stickers.

i agree with your choices.(16,17,19),but maybe we should wait on making a decision on size. it looks like at the most there will be about 20 stickers so if we need a little larger envolope, i don't think that will be a big deal.

just doing a quick check to see what is up with this and I like what I see
Ed, could you give some more info on the three choices that it looks like we are liking. I am not 100% clear on what they will be made out of, vinyl or printed, etc.
I will try to get things set up tomorrow for a poll that will run for 2 weeks (?) so that we can get a final choice so that it can be submitted for approval by the FTE higher ups
morning,
todays my wifes birthday so she guilted me into staying home and not working.
neil my take on what should be used is this.
printed vinyl generally does'nt hold up as long as cut vinyl. there are exceptions. if you use a "gerber" foil style printing machine like used on most fire department/emergency vehicles and clear laminate the image it will last. the down side is cost and usually the need for large runs. looks like we might need about 20 pieces.
cut vinyl also has pros and cons. there are two kinds of vinyl cast and calerened. cast is a better product. so using cast and layering the colors of vinyl on top of each will give you a good durable much less expensive sticker. the down side is the amount of labor to make large quanitys.(which i don't think we need).
i hope i helped and did'nt make it more confusing. like i said before i'll be home all day and i'll be checking in. so if theres anything thing i missed just let me know.

the winning design has been submitted to the administrators and I am just waiting for approval from them. Once I get it, then a new thread will be created so that we can start to work out the details as to size, cost, blah, blah, blah.....
