"front leaf spring issue"

I have a 1999 (Jan) F250 super duty, I was looking at my front leaf springs and they dont look like any others that i have seen on various diff f250's??? they look like they are making an X but fattend in the middle?? kinda hard to explain, but they dont look like any leaf springs ive ever seen? am i crazy or is this just the normal stock springs for the 99 superduties? normally you have an arch style right? mine have to arches facing each other? connected in the middle at the axle. more of a flat x though....? any help would be appriciated. thanks

I've seen a few of those, I think they were just on the early '99s. Is it because the wraps on the ends aren't the same for each leaf? I think one curls up and the other curls down then up so the eye is in line with the leaf.

with that being said, will i be able to purchase, say, a 2.5 leveling kit with a single arch design or am i screwed, my truck sits level??? but i am afraid that the guy that had it before me screwed with the suspention, there is two torched peaces of plate used as lifting blocks in the rear? but why would my truck sit level? is this due to sag in the rear leafs? im confused...lol

Hard to say. Can you take some pics of everything and post them? It might be worth it to contact the previous owner and ask what all they did.

Yes. Stock front springs with a 2.5 inch leveling kit. To answer your question about the rear, let me put it this way.....the advertised leveling kit was for an F250/350. Now the 350 has 4 inch factory blocks and the 250 has 2 inch factory blocks. Get the picture. The math doesn't work for both. When I added my leveling kit it then sat down in the rear because mine had the 2 inch block in the back. The leveling kit will only level a 350. I had to add-a-leaf to the rear to make it really level. Someone probably did a different block on yours to accomplish the same thing.

Ditch the body lift and just get new front springs and rear blocks in a 4-6" lift.

i'm running 35"x12.5"x16.5 bfg's - my truck is a f350 so i have the 4" blocks in the rear and a superlift front leveling kit. all you need to do is trim the front bumper just a little. i get a little tire to inner fender well rub on extreme turns when hitting a bump.(like turning into my driveway)
