Would be nice, but not entirely necessary - I have no issues getting around as is, I don't go through deep snows or muddy fields so the 2wd works decent for me, and truck being a dually seems to help against digging myself in when I encounter a softer terrain that requires some extra throttle. I'm planning on converting to 4x4 some day, but it will likely be beefed up D44 solid axle so I can reuse the coil springs suspension i have now.
no dont us d44 i have rebult mine 3 times get a d60
aah, not that D44, you're thinking a D44 IFS (TTB setup) while I'm talking solid axle off a '70s F250 with the suspension linkage of a '70s F150 (coils spring and radius arms).

The "related videos" that are next to it are really weird though. The video doesn't show up in a search either.
What category you put the video in, should be under "cars and auto related" or something like that. Also, if your low idle is 550 rpms, then how high is your high idle? I'd love to have me a 600rpm low idle and like 1100 high
I'm with M.L.S.C there with the 4x4. However I'm only running singles. With the trac-loc and running snow tires in the front, and studded tires in the rear, the only time I wish I had it was when I wanted to pull out faster.
However that said, I still had no problem pulling out, on ice or 4" of snow. Other than drifts here and there I haven't had a chance to test it any deeper. The only other reason I'd like it is so it's easier to pull a trailer in the snow.
My timing isn't quite advanced as yours, but mine starts the same way. But being that I'm spoiled, I keep it plugged in over night. Makes for a nice quick start-up/warm-up in the morning, plus no finger crossing lol.
Oh and on the IFS, thats the D44 I'm putting on. I love the coil spring ride, and with my reading truck cap on its like riding in a caddy, driving a bus, and steering a yaught. But I'm going with the IFS simply for bolt on convinence. Heck, I might even look for a push button transfer case. Much easier to run some wires than tear up the floor, cut holes, etc. But I know the D44 will handle what I'll throw at it, as I've yet to kill one in any of my trucks over the years. And not from lack of trying either. rofl
oh I would be putting firestone bags on though. Just for those 'heavy' days~! lol
You know, I'm having mixed feelings about the LSD - it's real nice to have it in mud and stuff, but I had one in my old '78 F150 mud-slinger and it was lots of fun takin right-angle corners in the snow - yah, I learned to synchronize in and out of 4high real quick Air or electric locker is where tis at, but those things are expensive!!!
Limited slips are fun on the ice or packed snow. If they are weak, you don't notice much of a difference. If you have a tight one, you tend to steer more by throttle. If the road is on any angle, the back end wants to wash out from under you. Kinda interesting if you have an obstacle or dropoff next to you.
You couldn't force me to run a passive LSD in the front on something driven on the street, though. With a little over 60% weight bias to the front, my truck is usless in 2wd. There are enough situations where you need 4wd and need to turn.
it was cool to c the mojo mobile lol dose it get cold were u are
Not really. This kind of really damp but not quite freezing weather is generally the norm for where I am. The pacific air rarely lets it get cold enough to snow. We had a rare year with lots of snow in december, but most of the time its just cool and wet or raining in the winter. As you can see all the snow is gone now.
I run limited slip in both axles, best thing I ever did.
If I had it to do again, I would probably go with air lockers in both axles for just a little more control.
There has been once or twice that I could have used the ability to open either the front or rear axle in side slope ice situations, but I made it through with the limited slip anyway.
