Is any one as sick of this guy as I am?. You cant turn the TV on without being assaulted by him hawking at least one of the following items,
"Mighty mend it"
"Mighty gem it"
"Mighty putty"
"Oxyclean"
"The big city slider station"
"Leakender 2000"
Some remote "clap on" light switch
various kitchen gadgets
Simonize car scratch removal system
The list goes on and on. He drives my Wife and I nuts. Does every sentence of his commercials have to rhyme? Now our local Target store has a section devoted to the crap he hawks on TV, You know its good if it has Billy Mayes picture on it!, Its REALLY good if it has his picture on it twice!. Does anybody buy this stuff? I actually got Mighty putty as a gag gift, never opened the box....Hes got to be the most irritating personality on TV, followed VERY closely by the "Shamwow" guy. I thought that commercial was a joke the first I saw it! some type of comedy skit, kept waiting for someone from the SNL crew to interupt it. I think this crap is why my TV spends at least 8hrs a day in the OFF position. If this kind of advertising is supposed to part me from my money, they got the wrong formula, sorry Billy.....anybody else got thoughts about this stuff?
I hardly ever watch live broadcast anymore.
The news is about all I watch "live".
Any other show I want to see, I record, then watch the next day so I can FF through the commercials.

Your signature looks like a mighty putty commercial.
Personally, I have no problem with Billy Mayes. He's this generation's Ron Popeil (Ronco; "Set it and forget it" rotisserie cooker, the Pocket Fisherman, etc) and he has a nack for hawking this stuff. He's found a niche and made money doing it.
I agree, Old93. I'm not quite sick of Billy Mayes, though. I still laugh when he is on. I wonder if he can still talk if you tied his hands behind his back. He can't keep those things still. My 6 year old starts laughing as soon as she sees him on tv. As for that other guy with the Sham-wow, even funnier. How does he keep a straight face when he says "...and you know the Germans make good stuff". I'd like to know who writes this dribble. Is there an award show for the worst commercials?

I just realized, the Wife bought some "oxyclean" the other night, and my Dad HAS a "pocket fisherman" somewhere as a joke.............AAAAHHHHH!!! Ive been conquered by Billy Mays!!!
I don't mind him, but we have ordered one or two of the items and you can't get off the phone. They try to sell you more, and you cannot hang up until the order is completed! I'm afraid to just hang up as I might inadvertenly order more than I want....
or the smackie and with a paid smackie in 20 mins "because we can't do this all day" you get the gratie.....Lord take that wingnut Vince before I order a smackie. I don't need one let alone a "gratie".
There is no damn way to run cheez-wiz or Kraft singles through a "gratie" regardless of only costing $19.99. Vince gave me 20 minutes...I thought I missed a court date.
I have 37 "Sham-wows". I got in the 20 mins.
Kidding....
DO YOU THINK BILLY MAYES USES CAPS TO TYPE WHEN CHATTING ON THE 'NET?????
HE IS ALWAYS SCREAMING ON TV, SO IT WOULD MAKE SENSE THAT HE TYPES LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
