'95 F250 headlight switch problem

I pulled out my headlight switch tonite only to have my parking lights on with the **** all the way out. No headlights. Is this most likely the headlight switch or the dimmer switch? (Autozone has both).

if you pull it out and no lights then its most likely the switch, you can probe the headlamp wire for power to be sure

I fixed it yesterday. Took the plastic column wraparound off (3 screws), ignition lock ring, under the two silver trim bezels there are two screws that need to come off, and the dimmer needs to slide off. Then the black gauge dash pulls right out. Unplug the fuel selector switch and its easy access to the light switch. You push down on the spring under the switch to slide the switch rod off to put in new one. Then reverse to put back together. Twenty minute job.
