Where to find...?

Not to sound TOO desprite, but I was wondering where people go online to talk to people? I constantly hear about "I just met a new friend online...yadda yadda yadda... Where do you meet PEOPLE to chat with instead of all these people that want to dance in front of a web cam and take your money??? Im tired of all the pop-ups!!! Aaron

First - what is wrong with FTE? Lots of good people here.

I never chat with people on line except for here and a few friends. I would rather talk in person. So I don't know where else to tell you to go. Think of something you are interested in and google it. There must be sites dedicated to just about everything by now. Look in the personals columns in the papers.

If you want just women, then go hang out at the local super market. It is loaded with them. All you have to do is act dumb and ask where things are or ask how something tastes or is cooked. Avoid the wedding rings though.

If you are really desperate, go to funerals. Pick out big viewings and just go and get in line. There are always lots of grieving women who need comfort. You can read enough in an obit to make conversation about whoever is in the box. For sure there won't be any pop-ups there.

This was started by a group from the 1999-2003 7.3 forum.. I agree with Bob.. I never had any real intentions of meeting any one on line.. but hooked up with that group.. couldnt list a better group to hook up with..

Who else attends funerals besides the grieving family?

Opportunistic real estate salespeople, that's who.

Reading obits is second nature to these peeps.

You can beat your bottom dollar that after the "Gee, I'm sorry your spouse died" spiel ends, their next spiel pertains to getting the listing on the property.

I think i need a stronger drink.

To find places to chat you need to go to places that relate to things you like. For example if you like horses/horse people you can find online zones that have those kind of people. Then you go to the "chat" area and you talk away. You can pretty much do that with any good site. Just seek out what kind of peeps you want to talk to.

I have never had luck even getting into chat on here so I gave up.

Funeral haha I hope that was a joke!

Forums are a great place to meet people. That way just pick what your interested in, join that kind of forum, and then you have something in common with the people there.

If your looking for women I would suggest trying out in the real world also, but if that just doesnt work, there are lots of singles type sites.

preppy, about a third of what I say is in jest, except when it comes to a truck repair. I sometimes try and get a rise out of people, so I stretch things to the limit.

I don't even like funerals. I would rather not go to mine if I can avoid it.
