I am in the home stretch of finishing a transplant Dana 60 from a split front in my 86 extended cab F250. Can anyone tell me the following.
1.- What models of trucks or Vans and years can I take the disk brake splash shields off of. I have dual pistons on my existing brakes and on the 60
2.- Will the ones on the front I have now fit, I really don't want to tear the old front apart to get the shields, but will if I have to.
3.- other than getting these new from Ford and paying close to $80 for each side is there a place that offers a reasonable price to purchase these?
Thanks for any help
I don't run splash shields on the Dana 60 I swapped under my '86 F-250 Supercab. In my expereinc they just hold mud in and promote aggressive weare/grooving of the rotors.
