Does anyone know if a 16x10 rim with 4.5" of backspacing will fit on a 2002 F250 4x4. I'm going to be putting on a set of 315 75 r15 tires on the rims and was wondering if anyone had tried this and had problems with the tire rubbing on either the front: fenders, bumper, or the leaf springs. I've got 285's on the stock rims now and it looks like it would be VERY close with an extra 1.5" on the diameter.
btw, truck has a 3" suspension lift in it.
Assuming the tire size is a 16 not a 15 as you stated, this should work with some minor trimming. I had 16 x 10 wheels on my 2001 with 305 tires and a 3 inch lift in the front. I had to trim the bumper trim so they would not rub. A 4 inch lift would be better, but you have to work with what you have I would imagine.
More than likely you'll get the tire to rub on the lower plastic valance on the corner of the bumper. That can easily be trimmed. But as far as the everything else goes, yes the rim should fit, 4.5" is the proper backspacing for a 2002.
Yes you are correct, typing error, it should have read: 315 75 r16.
Also, Does anyone know if I go another 2" lift will I have to change any other parts (other than shocks) to accommodate the extra height. (ie: brake lines, etc)
I'm thinkin of removing the stock blocks and getting ones that are an extra 2" taller and ones that are wedged, to keep diff's and drive shafts inline.
p.s. Does anyone know where I could find blocks like this?
Thanks again
