What I'd try if I were you before replacing the motor is......with the wiper switch on high, go to the back, grab the wiper and jiggle it up and down for a few seconds. Sometimes this will get it working again. If that doesn't get it working, check the relay under the hood to make sure it's working. With the wiper switch on you should hear the relay clicking under the hood. If you don't hear this then check your fuse, if the fuse is ok then it's probably your relay. If it does come down to replacing the motor, it isn't that difficult to do. Just remove the trim pannel on the rear hatch and you'll see it in there.
i definitely try turning it on, and jiggling it around a bit before u look into replacing it. Mine appears to be crapped out about 20 diff times over the past 5 years...i go back there and wiggle it around, and it starts working fine again. I dont know if it just gets stuck or what... i think the design they have where the wiper arm has to drop below the glass when turned off is a bad one, and causes the arm to get stuck down there...

If it didn't drop down how would you open the glass?
