RSK/Trac bar?

Hey, I installed a RSK on my F350, and I was curious what to do with the trac bar (?). It's the bar that's all twisted up and runs behind the front axle...

Anyways, I did the RSK and the stock hangers for it don't reach. Would it hurt anything to run without it, or do I need to buy longer hangers? I've driven it with the bar hung by bailing wire, and it doesn't feel much different, but I'm not a suspensior guru o anything. What have others done? Thanks...

Sounds like you are talking about the sway bar. The twisted bar behind the axle that attaches on both sides is the sway bar. You can run without it but I would hook it back up. You can just lengthen the sway bar links by cutting them in half and welding a pipe sleeve in the middle to make the right length.

The Track bar is the straight bar that is behind the axle and its shorter. About half the length as the axle itself.

Yea I agree sounds like your talking about the sway bar.
I actually have both my front and rears off with no complaints.
If you can't weld I know i've seen extensions for them that bolt in.

Yeah, the sway bar. My bad... anyways, what exactly is the purpose of it, and it sounds like I"d be ok without it... anyone think otherwise?

without running it you will get more body roll in corners, more articulation when off roading.....unless you are doing autocross or like high speed cornering you should be fine.

Lol, articulation or high speed cornering... both seem like a joke in a lifted F350...

I think I'll pull it off for a bit and see how I like that.

LOL...the whole purpose of a sway bar is to keep the frame parallel with the axle....if you had really soft springs I would keep it on(doubt you do)......If you decide to keep it you can do as the others said by cutting and welding a sleeve....or Jegs has extended links in various sizes for about 30 bucks
