Hi im new to the site... i found it via Google when trying to do research on a future truck i want.. Im a die hard Ford lover... but sad to say i have a chevy truck atm.. But to redeem myself i do have an 04 Mustang if that helps lol.. i want to replace my s10 with an f350 super duty.. but im stuck in the land of no money right now...

My s10 has some sentimental value to it so i probably wont ever get rid of it.. but like i said id like to replace it as my primary truck with something more reliable.. ntm more powerful not just in giddy up but pulling power.. reason my current truck has sentimental value is cuz it was my grandfathers truck which i got when he passed, and ive spent quite a bit of money fixing and restoring it.. my biggest problem with it is its not all that reliable and its constanty breaking things...

Now like i said, i do have an 04 Mustang.. this was the first vehicle i actually bought with my own money. and have loved it since the day i got it...

As for the future truck i mentioned i want.. Id like to eventually buy a new F-350 super crew/quad cab ect ect what ever youd like to call it.. with an 8 ft bed... 6 wheeled... but would like a v10 instead of the v8 powerstroke.. which was how i came apon the site.. I used google search looking for what the mileage for the v10's were on fuel economy.. after reading several threads it seemed to me that ya'll were very friendly and well informed on your vehicles.. so figured id join and see what all i could learn from ya'll on the future truck..

I was also hoping to maybe find someone locally near me with the v10's that might let me either take it for a drive or take me for a ride in one to see what the v10's feel like? ive been looking at all the local dealerships but none of them seem to want to carry the v10's anymore.. got told by one today they stopped carrying them cuz people werent buying them for fear of their economy... Personally i know the mileage isnt gonna be great on a work truck.. i use to drive a 79 surburban with a v8 350 that only got 9mpg both city and highway... so i know a truck will be no different...

sorry my intros so long.. but just look at it this way... now ya know me pretty well

Hi Sparky, welcome to FTE!

Glad to have you as a member of the BEST of the rest.

The V10 is a lean, mean pulling machine, that will not disappoint.

Check out the local Ford owners in the VA chapter of FTE here,,, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum147/

Introduce yourself to the VA chapter and most important JOIN your local chapter.
Great bunch of Ford owners, maybe someone will have a tip where to find your V10.

BTW, did you search FTE's classifieds?

btw i have a small question.. would yall be mad if posted up pictures of my current car and truck?? even though the trucks not a ford? main reason i ask is cuz ive been on forums in the past that frowned on non-form specific vehicles... like for instance one of my old mustang forums would get mad if people posted pictures of cars that werent mustangs.. and would usually delete posts and sometimes ban people for trying...

The site's pretty much die hard Ford luvers. The Mustang should be ok. So post the pick of your chebby at your own risk.

Here is a link to the FTE classifieds,,, https://www.ford-trucks.com/classifieds/index.php

and my old beat down truck... Call it Money Pitt.. why? cuz its always finding something to break to cost me money...

and no i didnt pick the hubcaps... dad got them and put them on cuz he didnt like how hard the stock ones were to get off.. personally id rather toss em and put the stock ones back on..

it looks alright there... but if ya ever saw it in person youd agree it needs a new paint job...

Lookit -you're missing it.

Anything worthy in and of itself (product of sound engineering or whatever) doesn't need overblown claims or things like that. It is what it is, and it works.

You should be suspicious when you hear "OH! But it's the most marvellous thing so far!!!"

Yeah? BULLSTUFF! I'll believe it when I'm dying and see it still plowing a field outside my window....
