There is no simulated wood because the platinum editions had a silver plastic where there would normally be simulated wood on a normal lariat model. I think the only thing 2004 on this truck is the VIN

Theres alot of 04 parts in that interior then, trust me i know, I have 2004 lariat interior in my 2002.... They might have just painted the wood grain silver....
The only thing that doesnt look 04 on the inside is the overhead console and the steering wheel.

It has definitely been mislabeled in the ad. It is for sure a 01 Platinum Edition truck, but just has a few 04 parts on it such as the Harley wheels and the rear seat with the headrests. Would make me leery about buying from a place that can't get the VIN correctly off of a vehicle, it is on the truck more than a few places.

definitely a scam, the instrument cluster id definitely a 99-01 series, the door locks are the old style also and the headlights, its funny thats there is not a picture of the Vin sticker on the door plus diesel warranty is 5 years or 100,000 miles it should have listed a factory warranty if this was true, definitely messed up

The only parts inside off of an 04 seem to be the CD player and rear seat. The dash and overhead console are 01 or older for sure. And for 80k miles the seat and steering wheel dont look very good. Mine didnt look that bad till I had over 130k at least. Should email them for a pic of the ID tag on the cab post and see what that vin says, if it even has a tag there.

Yup, it's definitely an 01, the leather seats are from and 04 or newer, the newer leather looks different form an older 03 down. An 03 or down leather seat had smother leather where this has more artificial veins so to speak. Also looks like they panted over the F-250 badge, is it not supposed to be black and the F-250 part silver. Also look at the carpet on the door map pockets, my 02 dose not have that, but did 99 up models? You also can see the coolant hose from the top of the radiator go though the belt, not around by the alternator. Somebody should report them.
