12v Ignition wire - PSD
Need some help from one of you guru's...
Was wiring up my remote start/ alarm, tapping into the yellow wire(s) from the ignition plug as a 12v source. Well, I had sodered all my wires, I thought, and realized while finishing up I need one more 12v source wire. I pulled the yellow wire out of the plug and commenced to solder it (forgot to disconnect the battery) and it bumped a ground and sparked. I thought, no problem it just popped a fuse...
Can't find a fuse or relay bad. My question is where is it fed from, a fusable link somewhere? Before I spark tested it, the wire was a permanent 12v wire, now it is hot only when the ignition is on.
My other question is...the yellow wire and green/purple are supposed to be hot all the time. What is the second yellow wire for, looks like a pass thru to me.
