Has anybody used the hooker aerochambers? How'd they sound? What kind of engine where they on and what else did the exhaust consist of? Also are they a chambered muffler or do they have glasspacked in there someplace? I've heard both so I'm curious. TIA
Hey I have them on my truck and I love them. I have a 351w If you want a mean sound then get these it isnt REALLY loud but can be if you get on it. For best results put some nice big tips on it for more rumble at idle. It is a very low sound if you like that. For horsepower gains it really does help. I have gone with open pipe and with stock and this muffler really does more. Very smooth shifting resulted.
Did you end up buying one? I just installed one on my F150's 302. For a muffler that you can "see through" it's amazing how quiet it is. It sounds good if you like a relatively quiet powerful low frequency sound. The motor just "seems" to run smoother, probably due to the lack of excessive noise.
