My truck seems to be some sort of time capsule, with all of the maintenance scribbled on the fenders and in the owners manual.
Haha. Off topic, but I worked on a mid to late 80's carolla that had EVERY oil change ever done to it written on the underside of the hood. This car looked off the showroom floor quality. Just goes to show, there are good PO's out there.
My truck originally had a D44HD closed knuckle front axle. When I bought it the left front tire was tilted way in on top because the upper kingpin bearing had come apart. The PO had been driving it like that and thought it was no big deal. I almost wrecked on the way home. Hey look I finally figured out how to add a signature. I'll figure out this internet thingy yet. Now if I can just figure out how to quote messages....

Hit the quote button inside the post's own box.
Be easy on the reader, snip out what you aren't referring to. ;)
I don't see "signatures" or "avatars" I've got them turned off.
Mine's got "posting guru" or some such crap?
If I could edit that, I'd write for me...
"posting butthead" :)
yes he told me "they sqeaked" when i got the 5 lbs of solid oily dirt off of each side and i mean solid there was also dirt between the leaves what a mess any ways other than drilling and useing "SCREWS" to hold/wreck a perfectly mint lariat door panel on [aaaaa i scream at that one] and yes lack of some maintenance
with rubber parts [sway bar bushings/track arm bushings ect] i gotta say the truck was looked after pretty well my reg cab used to be our "shop truck" but was looked after by our h.d. mechcanics so no issues there any wireing that was done was done right solder and shrink tube any splices
use the right grade of bolts ect there is nothing that irks me more than any thing than to see "black tape and butt connectors" due to the corrosion factor my god i had to redo all the connections on my new $25000 boat!!! as the factory used all butt connectors on the back end [the nerve!!]
This reminds me of my trucks POwner. Man I have wires comming out of my ears going who knows where. I was trying to clean up the wiring and cut a stray red wire and the truck didn't want to start touch them together and she fires. I figured best thing to do for that is to order a centech wire harness(complete) and rip all this junk out.
Good luck with the PO problem. I need some... hahah
