Custom Cab "goody's"

I have never seen two CC's exactly alike. What are the different factory goodys they came with?? Half of my problem is that we have mixed and matched them for so long I am not sure which came on what???

I know that 65 and 66 came wth the plastic long view dash, 61 thru 64 had the chrome dash.

There is a custom cab emblem here, but what did the door handle guards come with, and how about the bullet mirrors?

This set came with a nice 66, but I suspect they are from an older truck, maybe not.

65s still had the round dash. 66 went to the long guage cluster. I like the round better myself.

Im just a novice, but there is:

Chrome dash
Dash pad
Dash trim
Body trim
aluminum grill
headlight bezel
tail light trim
My 66 has emergency flashers, but they have been standard in 66.
Chrome horn ring
Spare tire holder was an add on
Not sure about hub caps????
Mirrors
custom cab logo on outside
chrome floor trim
door pockets
chrome handle guards
AC was an add on at some point

As stated I'm no expert but these are the various parts I've seen around.

Also, somewhere from late 64+ they added a door spring. Don't think this was a custom cab option, but rather a standard upgrade they had made to the door hinges.

Optional on 1952/54 passenger cars only. The hub caps themselves were on all 1952/54 cars.

The 4WD Custom Cabs used the 1961/64 cluster.

Dash pad Standard on Custom Cabs, optional on Standard Cabs.

Body trim Side Mouldings: Optional on all models, not part of any package.

My 66 has emergency flashers, but they have been standard in 66. Optional on all models. Standard equipment beginning in 1967.

Chrome horn ring Custom Cabs only.

Spare tire holder was an add on Optional on all models.

Not sure about hub caps???? Stainless steel dog dish type on 2WD Custom Cabs.

1966 F100's offered full wheel covers on 2WD's and 4WD's as an option.

The 4WD only front covers have a cut out for the 4WD hubs. These same covers were used on all 1966/77 Bronco's.

Mirrors Optional on all models, none came with any package.

custom cab logo on outside Custom Cab nameplate not used with the Custom Cab door handle guards, which were not used with the optional side mouldings.

chrome floor trim Custom Cabs only.

chrome handle guards Not used when side mouldings were present, not used when the Custom Cab nameplates were present.

The side mouldings were optional on all models, they weren't part of any package.

As stated I'm no expert but these are the various parts I've seen around.
In addition: Custom Cabs: Foam rubber seat cushion, left armrest and dual sunvisors. Color keyed upholstery and rubber floor mat. Cigarette lighter and right hand air vent.

The right hand armrest was an option on all models, but is usually seen in Custom Cabs.

The chrome front bumper was optional on all models. The rear bumper was an option on all models.

ALL 1965/66 F100/250's have the front fender emblems. Some say Twin-I-Beam, some say Camper Special, some say Four Wheel Drive.

The 1965 emblems are different than the 1966 emblems.

1965: FORD 100 or 250 above the emblem.

1966: FORD above, 100, 250 below.

Mine doesn't have the Dash pad either and never did to my knowledge. Just a chrome strip across between the two tone.

The chrome strip is what held the dash pad in place and finished the edge. There should have also been a strip across the dash by the windshield. Also two small pieces on top of the dash between windshield and pillar. The two pieces were black, not chrome

It did have a padded dash, you know why I know that?

The moulding covered up the leading edge of the padded dash, there's a short moulding on the drivers side.

The dash had a 1/4" piece of vinyl along the leading edge, the mouldings were used to cover it up.

If there was never was a padded dash, there would be no mouldings.

C4TZ8104332A .. R/S Moulding & C4TZ8104333A .. L/S Moulding.

AFAIK, the end pieces were on all the dashes, with a pad or not.

Whan I installed a padded dash on mine, I removed those end pieces, glued the dash down (with 3M spray adhesive) re-installed the two mouldings.

Mine was a purchased as a Standard Cab, in 1983 it became a Custom Cab.
