My van has been parked since Christmas eve. I just went out to move it back into the heated shop so my tools would be heated and ready for work tomorrow.
When I shift the transmission; it's like the engine isn't running. There's no clicking, clunking or change in idle speed at all.
It's been major cold (-29C) all week; does it just need some warming up to circulate some fluids; or any other simple things I can check.
Sorry I didn't put this in the van section; but thought it was a general question and would get better viewing here.
-29C is pretty cold. The clutches may not grip well at those temperatures, the fluid may not actually pump up to pressure, the dielectric in the connectors may not be passing sensor data. It could be quite a few things. I would say bring it up to a more comfortable temperature and try again. Start by removing temperature from the options
