Poor heat inside cab

I was looking for a thread that might help me with my van. The engine temp is ok and I just put in a new fomoco t-stat. Still not enough heat at feet. The van has both front and rear heat. Coolant temp was 190 @ radiator cap opening.. the heat hose sems hot going in but cool coming out of heat core.. Could the core be plugged. any help is greatly appreciated ,thanks

Core could be plugged..... try back flushing it. Also make sure the blend door is closing all the way.... that is the temp hot/cold ****........ when turned to heat there should be a thud..... like a door closing.

Hot coolant in is from head.....cold out to water pump....

Was there a foam seal on the blend door? Sometimes that foam rubber deteriorates and enough cold air gets through to make the outlet air colder. Plugged core is also a good possibility. Disconnect both ends when you flush it so all that junk doesn't go back through your system.

well I forced compressed air through the heater coreand am now getting more heat so I think I will just install a new one. Does anyone have a discription of how the coolant flows after the front heat core. My guess is that it tees back to the rear then returns to the ??? I havnt crawled under it yet due to the snow fall lately. Its getting cold out there

Coolant supply from the passenger side head.
Coolant return is to the water pump.
