finally got time, motivation, and decent weather all together to fix some of my little problems...but of course, this is me, so it wasn't all that simple
i asked my dad about the shop vac to clean up from the fuel leak: i got a "LOOK." ooook, never mind! do we have anything long and skinny i could hold paper towels with? no way. fingers it is then...which hurt as i rasped my knuckles by mistake instead of my horses' feet. and even my little hands don't fit in there so well. *sigh*
pulled up carpet under the back seat to see about running my antenna wire that way instead of through rear window...12 yr old carpet self-destructs if you pull too hard. presently still using the rear window.
engine degreaser causes cancer and birth defects...guess my sister is right, i'm gonna die young! but at least my engine will be clean! lol
then went to fix interior lights on the doors...both out, one cover broken. in his whole entire workshop, my dad has NO super glue! figured i would at least pull the old light bulbs so i could get replacements. but no, the passenger side bulb went backwards and is now lost somewhere inside the door...how in the world do i get that back out??
ok, done now no one in my family really appreciates these things!
lmc truck and national parts depot are really good companys for the little things that break.
engine degreaser causes cancer? only in the state of california it does.
but what about the little socket thing the light bulb plugs into? does it just sit the hole, cause that went adios too!
light bulb should fit snug in plug then pushed into door and turned clockwise. it has 2 or 3 slots the plug lines up with then you turn it to lock it in to your door.sounds worse then it is
you can pull the door panel out a little and try to fish it back in place, that can be rough on the knuckles too. just curious, but where is Pungo? I am in Dinwiddie.
there are a few screws holding on the door pannel. mostly along the bottom of the door, and there is one hidding where you put ur hand to pull the door shut. that screw needs to be removed also.
then nice and gently pull the pannel off the door. you will kinda have to pick the door up, and push the pannel forward. you will understand when you try to pull the pannel off.
after you get the pannel off all you have to to is push the light socket back in the hole and twist.
hope this helps
Mitch
it's fixed now...the door panel didn't quite come off per se but it moved enough for me to get my hand in! thanks
...however...my clearance lights decided not to come on with my headlights when i ran up to napa what gives?!?! maybe i blew a fuse? i dont even know which fuse thats on...i spliced em into the factory wire when i did the install
