Well to my dismay, i woke up this morning, with my truck plugged in and it wouldnt start, the oh so popular feeling that my batteries went bad, ugh!! I had a gut feeling they would go bad sometime this winter, and it happened today. It was acting really weird and thught it might be my starter, but when it wouldnt start this morning, i knew it was the batteries. So i searched all over town this afternoon for some new batteries and ended up going with Duralast Gold from Autozone. They are 850 CCA for our trucks, which is what they require and i got them for under $100 a piece, with my 10% discount! bwahahhaha.
Anyway, these batteries come with a 3 year free replacement warranty and an 8 year limited warranty, you can go wrong with that. Beats that Optima warranty hands down, which i had Yellow Top Optimas in my truck previously. I will never go back to those POS batteries ever again, especially since they are rated lower than these Duralast. You cant go wrong with them at all. Anyway, just wanted to suggest batteries to everyone if they ever need them. My truck really cranks over now, the way it should
Right on. Im gonna stick with these, i think my truck will like them alot. i almost thought about going without plugging my truck in tonight, but it is a little on (not take a chance on that) side of cold
Ive had their reds and yellow/golds in my vehicles. Reds were in my old van and yellow/golds are in truck now. Its been a couple years and no problems!
Damn you americans and your american only companies haha.
That is a good warranty on batteries for a good price. Ive heard alot of people reccomend those batteries, but unfortunately for my canuck self, we cant get em up here!
Our local NAPA dealer is carrying the FORD OEM batteries for under $100.00 each. Mine currently are getting close to replacement, are the original batteries and are nine years old. I am looking at that route due to what I am experienceing and I live in northern Michigan where we do see -30F out.

you got some good life out of those batteries, thats for sure. I would just go ahead and replace them before u get to the point of not being able to start your truck. if u think they are on their way out, then i would do the preventive thing

I too went to Duralast yellow tops after my almost 4 yr napa's crapped out. The duralast are are made by Johnson Control which also makes Ford Autolite. Plus you can find the stores everywhere open seven days a week if needed.
