bad case of road salt cancer. couldn't see myself tackling that one.
the Hwy management idiots here in Wa. St. are talking about starting to use road salt again after years of only using sand combined with the new deicers. We have one heavy snow winter and they go off the deep end.
makes the auto body shop owners rich and resale value on a 5 year old rig worthless
road salt is hard on everything. radiators, electrical wiring, alternators. adds 25% in extra labor costs for any suspension/frame work
i did a frame insepction today and beacuse some a-hole vandilized it and popped the tire its been sitting ont he frame and now has big rust holes and there too big and too many to fix

well after more research its not as bad as i thought and is fixable
good luck
replace all the steel and flex brake lines. road salt kills brake lines and makes rigs dangerous
my boat trailer brake lines looked like swiss cheese after a few years of dunking the boat in the salt chuck Pacific here.
all stainless and super high pressure double strength rubber flex now
well this will be the offical build thread for it, progress will be slow as i dont ahve a garage, and its sitting at my mothers work and i only got here every few weekends, but it should be cool when done.
