Prestone has the coolant that says it is safe for all coolants and can be mixed with them all. Is this true for the 6.0?

maybe the dealership added VC-8 and really meant to add the bittering agent VC-7 ???

Motorcraft Gold already has the bittering agent in it. At least the jugs I bought did.

For a few bucks I wouldn't risk it. What is the Prestone stuff? Ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, etc?

only use ford Motorcraft Premium Gold coolant, it is reported to be good for 100K i recommend getting a coolant filter installed on your engine for added protection or you may need a new oil cooler, egr cooler, egr valve, overflow bottle, all coolant hoses and engine flushed by the dealer 3x to clean out the system like i had to do, because of the casting sand and sludge left in the engine block from the foundry where it was made, the sand leaches out of the engine block and will plug up your oil cooler and egr cooler and cause a casade failure of both if not caught early by a good mechanic.

You can buy it with OR without the bittering agent. VC-7A does not have it and VC-7B does have it. I believe Ford makes a specific bittering agent that can be added separately (at least I think I saw it on the "chemicals web site".
