I had to look several times to make sure I was not crazy, but there was a truck in our body style (92 - 96) that was a crew cab, with a super cab back part. Guess you could say 4 door super cab. It was a 350 dually long bed,, It looked like it should say CSX or Norfolk/Southern on the side....
It HAD to be custom, I think.. Any one else ever spotted one? Or am I crazy as I suspected??

White,
I think I saw a truck like what you are describing. It was a 92 - 96 Super Duty, 4-door, with an Ex-cab on the back. Do you understand what I'm saying? Hard to describe.

I saw one of those pulling a horse tailer once, IT was HUGE!!!!!!!!!
I, too have seen a 6 drro truck, white if i remember, and Centurians are not all that rare in F150, but much harder to find in 250/350 with the diesel. There are several centurion sites out there, just google it
I once saw a newish Ram with six full size doors. It was a dually, I think. That thing was stupidly long. How to turn into a parking lot with a truck that long??? Especially pulling a load.
Anything is possible if you have the skills and equipment (and insanity in some cases) when it comes to custom bodies. My uncle had a 4dr Corvette at one time! The rig you are describing does sound like a Centurion conversion (I worked at a Ford dealer in the late 80's to early 90's and we used to sell them). While not what I would call 'rare', they are definitely not common. One bought for cheap sitting would make a cool over the top 4X4 (seems nobody ever really messes with them).

Exactly, and the extra cab on the back was not one of the things that sit on the bed... Plus full 8ft bed,,,
Was so long it almost needed an escort with oversize load signs...

How much more did these trucks go for than regular trucks? I talked to this guys daughter that owns it, she said he paid 4 grand for it not very long ago and would take 3500 for it now and this truck is not in very good condition. Kinda rusty. I paid 1700 for mine and was in much better shape bodywise.

I looked into one new at a ford dealer in 1990. I bought a loaded Eddie Bauer Bronco. Sticker was $23.400,00.
Considered a F350 Centurion which had a sticker of over $36K. They were a crew cab pick up with the bed removed frame shortened a bit and a Bronco rear tub installed then loaded with goodies.
My opinion
unique but not rare.
If rusted and not running $3K is way too much.
