I know there are a lot of these threads.... her is another one! I installed my DP tuner and JW Valve Body, and all I got to say is "WOW". Feels like a new/differant truck! The wifey has to hold on to her seat now!
Have one question though.... I know I saw this same question on a thread not long ago but didn't pay much attention and I can't find it now. Have had the chip in for 3 days (150 miles). I was driving around, stopped to double check the tranny fluid level, kept going and stopped at Auto Zone to get something. Went to go home and the truck didn't start.? Just cranked that is all.... The DP switch didn't light up either whick made me think something was loose causing the "no start". Called the wifey and got a few tools and everything LOOKED nice and clean and connected well but haven't had time to double check everything yet. Ended up taking the chip out to start the truck. Think it is just the PCM connection??? I will check it again in the morning. Besides that is was GREAATTT!!!
Got the F6 with high idle, 80tow, 80 econo, 140 aggressive! More to come later.... but that is good for now!
Sounds like a bad connection. Check your contacts and make sure thier clean, be sure your tape the chip in place and don't forget to remove your keys everytime you mess with the chip.
I agree with Barry. Make sure that all of the silicone is off the contacts. I used rubbing alcohol to clean them.
Make sure that the cable that goes into the F5 switch is in all the way. A few people have added a dab of silicone because it loosened up causing a no start.
Another thing to look at if you taped the chip in so it would not come loose make sure it is not to tight. When I put my TS chip it started and drove then would not start back up with the chip in it would just crank and I would get not WTS light. Sent it back to Long Island Diesel got it back said it was fine when I installed it nothing sent it to TS same thing.Called them up guy told me you can put them in to tight when you tape them well sure enough reinstalled it making sure the tape was not tight and all was good. Just another thing to look at. But make sure all your other connections are good on the chip and the controller.
Maybe I did have it too tight.... bad habit of mine! I'll try that also, thanks! My wife did clean the connections really well.... Like I said, I'll look at it in the morning. Thanks again!
