My truck keeps throwing the CEL on for EGR Flow... I have an AFE intake and 5 inch MBRP exhaust... I clear the code and the truck runs great for around 50-100 miles and as soon as it comes back on it just runs horrible again.. I read this is due to a EPA mode or something? It also occasionally says exhaust backpressure sensor... My dealer reflashed my truck about a month ago and thats when all this trouble started and they said they can't go back to previous flashes... any ideas? Thanks in advance.
make sure you don't have any leaks on the intake side...it can be a very tiny leak that can throw things out of whack...you might want to throw a stock intake system on there to see if the light comes back...EBP sesor tube might be clogged also..do you have a CAT on the truck?
I just had my EBP Sensor go out and when it did it caused my truck to run horible. So bad that I pulled over right away and had it flatbeded to the dealership.
They replaced it (pricey little sensor) and now it's running a lot better.

I removed the cat... where is the EBP sensor tube?
And Adam you have very similar mods to me (exhaust and intake) which flash do you have?
You think this could be causing the Excessive EGR Flow issue also? Its just extremely weird this all started after the dealer reflashed to the latest flash...
your egr could be sticking open or partially open when it is ment to be closed, probably the best bet would be to either clean the egr valve, or replace it.
It was replaced around 500 miles ago... the dealer thought that was the problem and then it happened again about 100 miles later and they said it was because of the exhaust and intake

i had an EGR code which the dealer finally had to blame on my exhaust after 2 valve replacements...it turned out to be an intake system leak, that's why i suggested that...newer flashes are very sensitive...check your boost tubes for cracks or tears...make sure the clamps are snug(not too tight)...the I/C may have a small leak at one of the side tanks..
