I scored a Saturday off and got approval from headquarters (A.K.A wife) so im gonna pull my injectors out tomorrow and send them to Rosewood for stage 1's. Im gonna inspect the injector cups, and harnesses while they are out. I already have new GP's what else might i need to look at while im in there.
Im gonna do other stuff while the truck is down. Wheel bearings, and some engine cleanup. I thought about painting my turbo black and leave the Garrett lettering aluminum color, any thoughts on that. How hot does it get? Duplicolor has hi heat paint up to 1200* IIRC.
just got done do'in the same thing with injectors. sounds like you got it all covered. get ready to lay on the radiator for awhile.what fun. swivel sockets are really cool for the back bolts on the valve covers. oh yea, and dont drop nothin'.
What is the torque speck on the injector bolts for the reinstall. I dont have a torque wrench, can i just get them gud-en-tite (LOL) or do they need to be specific.
i hate rusty stuff, maybee i will paint mine too. i have several cans of black heat paint here. sounds likea quick project for tomarrow. did you grind the rust off of yours tj?

I was swapping the housings at the time so I threw the housing in the blasting cabinet. The center section just had some slight surface rust on it and I just painted over it. Both look good still. Hardest part was masking off the intake side!
Thanks to live2wheel, and foxracing0934 for the info. Reps sent.
I was looking at the duplicolor web site, it says after applying their hi heat paint (1200*) the part should be baked in an oven to cure the coating. Im wondering if grill (BBQ) paint will work?
O reilys has some 2000 degree paint that I used to paint my new turbo housing, so far so good. very limited colors though (all flat paint) I also had to bake mine. I put it in the oven though, I don't think you want flames, just the heat
