Yep, there are a couple of us here, Husker and myself, I don't live too far from you, I live by Vista Burger joint, I will keep an eye out for ya. Would be good to meet someone new.
I owned an 83 for a short while, about a year or so, didn't really use it, had bought it for parts, but never went forward with it. so the wife begged me to sell it, and now, we added two more vehicles to the yard instead.
Cool, you really are nearby! I drive past there everyday when I meet up my buddies for our carpool at the mall. I either have my white 1991 Bonneville SSE or my 1987 Cutlass parked up there, across from Chili's. My guess is that you live on the east side of the highway, down in the little section of houses?
well it depends on the day, some days its a Lincoln Aviator, some days its a Ford Taurus, most days its a chevy express cargo van with Diebold on the side, some days its a dark green 2 door Cherokee, some days its a VTX motorcycle, or some days(much fewer than it used to be), a 52 international pickup.
I live on the gravel driveway at the end of Gross st. which is right behind that little loop called Lincoln Dr. with all the little houses.
Wow, I wish I could have that many vehicles. That is the one thing I have to complain about since I live in a mobile home community. Right now I have the cutlass in the front yard, the truck and grand prix in the driveway, and the bonneville in front of the house. Looks pretty bad right now, but as soon as I get the truck's issues figured out I am going to move it down into our "storage" cage.
I decided that I am going to go with a manual choke instead of piecing together the half-missing hot-air choke system that it is supposed to use. I am going to install it this afternoon as soon as I get home from work.
Thanks for the compliments on the cutlass. I went with the whitewalls because I think it compliments the chrome trim pretty well. I don't really want the "tough" look, because it is too damn slow and I would embarass myself at stoplights if someone wanted to take me lol.
Garden Spyder: I just bought the Chilton's manual (used), and good thing since the darn thing seems to be running rich since I fixed the choke.
Ultramagdan, I would love to come out for one of your get-togethers. I will keep my eyes peeled for threads, when do you guys usually go out?
Flip4ford, sounds good, I will try to make it to a few.
Hi Justin, it is good to have you get on board with us. I live out by Tuttle Lake and it seems I furnish the garage for local FTE ers to work on their trucks. Right Curtis and Matt.
If you need help with something let us know and I'd be more than happy to try to assist.
I have too many Fords according to my wife, but do enjoy them a lot. The 54 F250 is currently getting some R&R and a paint job. The Bronco is a beater that I use for off roading and the SuperDuty pulls a camper when we get around to camping.
Well, if anybody is up for a little carb tuning then I wouldn't put down the help. My carb is still running rich, even after I rigged up the manual choke. Anyone bored today?
