New Guy from Kansas
)I just bought the truck a couple of weeks ago from my wife's grandpa. It had been sitting for years due to a blown 300, so he put in a 240 out of a swather
. I can't complain too much, it runs like a champ! It has a 4-spd manual which I am enjoying the hell out of. IT is my first stick shift, so city driving is very interesting. Interior is in very good condition, short of the upper part of the dash cracked. We are planning on putting on a dashmat to cover up the problem. I have installed a Sony headunit, 6x9 in the center dash, and sony door speakers to replaced the totally shot speakers and head unit. I just finished that up yesterday, sounds great
. Body is rusty at the front 2 fenders, and I will be looking to replace those. There is 2 decent size rust holes in the bedsides, and I will be probably bondo-ing that since I don't think I will be finding any rust-free stepside beds locally. The wood in the bed will also be replaced, I am planning on cutting and prepping the wood myself. We are planning on painting it red this summer, and re-applying the stripe kit. This will be pretty cheap since we will be doing the rustoleum roller paintjob and my wife's dad owns a small graphics company that does the stripes and decals.
Here is one pic, I will plan on taking more and posting them up:

Here is a pic of my baby, my 87' Cutlass Salon
. I love my Oldsmobiles!
80k original miles, 4-spd auto, 307 V-8 (total dog, but gets me around 19 mpgs
)Ever need help with an Olds, hit me up!
Now about me, I am a network technician for a large school district so I know quite a bit about general computer hardware/software info. I am 21, and I have been married for 4 months to my great wife, Jamie. She is very excited to get started on this project, she loves her little Stepside

Looks like a great bunch of guys. I will be tearing into the body work come spring, so expect many pics and questions!
I see that you`ve found your local KS chapter, you`ll meet some fine folks there.
