Need Vin decoded

Need Vin decoded
The one at top of page says I don't have a valid VIN.
I have the VIN plate in my hand so I don't know.....but it's for a Mercury....maybe that's the problem.
Any where to look for getting one decoded?
1831010TK10945 is the number or send me in a direction to find it.
Thanks...Michigan Rick

Hi Rick,
You might try this site or navigate around on it:
1948 thru 1951 Canadian VIN Plate
Number Dummy Bill would know more and probably have a good "point to"
Good luck,
Julie
Shoot Sorry, that's for Bonus Built! What an idiot.
Go to that site and go to "Home" then click on "Mercury & Ford Truck Info & Data" then when the page appears go to the right link for your truck.
This might also work:
Mercury and Ford Truck Data
or
http://www.mercurypickup.com/1956for...erialplate.htm
Try the last one first!
But I would venture to say it is: 1831010TK10945: 1 = Series 1; 83= Pick-up and express; 10= F/M-100; next 10 = Raven Black; T= 1956; K= Oakville assembly plant; and the last five should be serial number....See if you agree??!!

It'd be easier if I could actually view the DATA Plate, so you'll need to go here to do it yourself.
