Spark Plug wires

Im in need of a new set of spark plug wires. I'm wondering which ones i should go with. Ive looked on autozone.com and all of theres arent of that great of quality. But on advance auto.com ive found autolites. I wouldnt mind having those but they are listed as 8 mm. I was wondering what size i should go with and etc. but nothing to expensive. i wish i could get ford racing wires but no luck with that. dont know where to get them and dont know how much. cant find info on them much.

An engine builder I know recommends, well, there are two spellings for the same thing:

spiral-wound
spiro-wound

Search on summitracing.com, you'll find 'em. 7mm is fine (is prolly stock), 8 or 8.2mm
won't hurt anything but they might not fit into any spark plug wire clips/holders you may
have. And, don't expect huge-assed perormance gains or anything (don't believe the hype).

oh i wont believe any performance gains i aint that slow. JK but yeh that wont help hardly any. it just my truck has the tiniest miss because when i got the truck the first plug wire on the drivers side was hanging and laying on the exhaust manifold and burned through a little bit. and proggressively the miss has slightly gotten worse. but see i would rather not have to order anything online and get it shipped. my parents and me dont have credit cards to pay online. so, any recommendations that i could go to the local auto parts store and pick a set up.
I'm thinking about these....

They would probably both work just fine, and the Autolites more closely resemble what it
came out of the factory with. I understand with spiral-wound wires, though, you'd never
have to replace 'em ever again (unless, of course, they burn up on the exhaust manifold *grin* )

I'm thinking about not giving them my information when all I want is to see somebody else's plug wires.....

Personal experience?

For the money a set of Taylor Spiro-Pro's are quality wires, from a US manufacturer.

I've been very happy with the quality, fit and endurance of the NAPA/Belden 'Premium' 8mm "blues" I now have on my truck.

(they sell a 7mm as well)

This set should fit your 302: Spark Plug Wire Set - Premium
If you're interested in taking a look.

I don't buy the whole "you won't need another set of wires ever!" statement. That's BS, I don't care if the wire is solid gold it's going to break down over time with the heat of the engine bay. It might last longer than a standard set but don't expect them to outlast the truck.

If you go to the Advance store, they sell the gee-wiz-bang yellow and blue wires from Accel and others. They are usually hanging behind the counter with the edelbrock carbs and manifolds.

duralast are neither durable or do they last. Spend the money on NAPA wires.

So its hard to decide because thats all i hear from my dad is buy duralast wires. Any other part that isnt motorcraft i buy duralast. It's just one of those things but it would be nice for napa to have the prices of the plug wires on the site. and there website is hard to find stuff.

Ive seen several autozone wire problems. Did you price them from the dealer?
