This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of fraud has surfaced.

The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this information and bingo; your identity was just stolen.

The fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma , Illinois , and Colorado . This (swindle) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they are with the court system.. The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

Hey all. Good info Randy, I'd heard about that before. Man, pretty quiet in here today! Just got back from my daughters swimming lessons, fixing on doing some painting this afternoon.

I was watching the B/J auction a week or so ago, saw a beautifully restored 1969 Torino Talladega go for about $41,000. Hell, I would have bought it for that!! That was a steal!

I should go outside and tan, it's almost 40 degrees out!!

Hello all, decent day to get some things done. Finally getting the discusion going about putting heat in the garage. It was suggested today that we get a heater out there. Iam all over that like ugly on a monkey.

 

Nice day today. I got a little work done on my 78 Bronco to get it ready to go wheeling tomorrow. It should be a nice day for that.

Good Morning Everyone. Hope things are going well for everybody. A little warmer up here than a few days ago where it was -25 at night with -50 windchill. Geez, I looked at the forcast for down there and it could hit 50 degrees soon. Wow. That would be nice. I haven't had much time to work on the truck lately. My little one keeps me busy. My wife has been back to work full time again and we both work 12 hour shifts on opposite days, so most of my days off, I'm at home with the baby. He is a joy so I don't mind it a bit.

 

Did anybody else miss the "u" the first time they read that sentence?
