Manual shifting 4R100
I bought my '00 F250 4x4 V10 Automatic last spring. This is the first automatic truck I've owned in the 18 years I've owned trucks. My last truck was a '96 F250 with the ZF 5 speed. With the '96 I regularly shifted between 5th and 4th gears to slow the truck on hills and in slower traffic rather than braking. Is switching the OD on and off to do the same thing OK? Is manually shifting the 4R100 going to do it any harm or cause excessive wear?
