4R100 will not manually shift into first gear
I have searched the forums without luck. The automatic in my 2000 F350 7.3 PSD SRW will not manually shift into first gear. It drives just fine and shifts through all the gears on its own but I just cannot manually shift it into first gear. It feels like there is an interlock jamming the shift mechanism because I can't move the column shifter into first gear. I can't tell if the OD light is blinking because the buld is blown and I have not gotten around to fixing it yet (d'oh!). Can you guys help please?

Redford, I did that and the cable seemed to be moving freely. I think I'll try disconnecting the cable from the linkage and see what happens. Thanks.
