Does anyone know what fuse it is? Also how difficult is it to remove the cover of the dome light to check/replace the bulb?
The two courtesy lights next to the dome light that operate by the switches both work. The dome light doesn't work when the door opens or when I click the little wheel that dims the gauges all the way up.
I'm not going out to the truck to check anything and I just remembered that my dome light doesn't work. I haven't really looked into it yet.
It's far too dark and far too cold for me to go work on a light on a truck I can't drive yet, but I'd just like to know for future reference.
Edit: I did try searching for a thread that had this information in it, but I was unable to locate one.
The brake light? I dunno. I haven't let anyone else drive the truck so I've never seen the brake lights and I only know the turn signals work because I could see them reflecting on the snow. I'll see if I could get dad to stand behind the truck and look tomorrow morning.
BTW: We've always called that the cyclops light. Probably not the techical term for it, but it fits.
Pete
I just did mine a couple weeks ago and its no problem. The cover will pop right off. Try removing from the front side first. Turn on the 2 small lights and you can see where it will release from.
Ok this is bothering me too much to not know if those lights go on or not. I'm going to go get a flashlight and some warm clothes and I'll go outside and check. Anything else I ought to check when I'm out there? It's COLD and snowy so I really don't want to go out more than once tonight.
What Jim is getting at is if the cargo lights come on then it probably isn't the fuse but the lamp.
No lights at all come on when I open my door.
Can someone point me in the right direction for the sensor in the door? It's probably right there in my face, but it was cold and dark out. I just checked the thermometer and it said 14 degrees. In case you can't tell cold and snowy aren't quite my favorite things.
Well I pulled the #14 fuse out today and it looks just fine. The plastic is still clear and I can still see the little metal piece inside. What do I do now?
